Today, you learned a most important biology lesson: enzymes are proteins. You should be saying this out loud...repetitively...and maybe in your sleep. I recommend telling your friends that enzymes are proteins at lunch and giving them a few examples of enzymes (alpha-galactosidase is a great conversation starter at the lunch table while your peers are chowing down on some pinto beans). Mention to your parents that catalase is responsible for breaking down hydrogen peroxide and is in your blood and yeast and potatoes!
Make science a part of your home!!!! You will have a blast!!!
